Van Speyk is emerging as a young Dutch watch brand. The brand originated as a collaboration between entrepreneurs who wanted to bring watches to the market that would add something to the already existing watch market. And it worked!

For the name of the brand we have to return to Dutch history for a while. In 1831 Lieutenant Jan Carel Josephus van Speyk became a national hero when he had to investigate shiploads in Antwerp. A group of Antwerp insurgents overtakes his ship. Van Speyk, however, does not intend to surrender and blows up the ship. He finds an honorable death here. The name of Speyk stands for Dutch history and national pride.

Van Speyk has brought various collections of watches onto the market. The Dutch Diver watches are one of them. These watches are entirely designed and manufactured in the Netherlands, with which the brand emphasizes its Dutch identity. The dive watches are equipped with an automatic movement of the brand Miyota, sapphire glass and a screwed crown and rotatable bezel.
